Las Vegas Getaway!

This weekend was so busy! Luke's mom Jolene, Melissa, Asher and I escaped Salt Lake for the weekend and ran down to vegas. We were busy all weekend! We got in Friday and Melissa and I both had to try on our dresses again since we were so excited. Later Jolene, Mom and I went and met with the florist to pick out flowers for my bouquet for the reception in Vegas--it was the last main piece we needed to really put things together for down there. Our florist even convinced me to go with roses in my bouquet, and I was anti that! He is good! That night my three sisters and I ran around together, and it was the first time we had all been together since January, and it really doesn't happen that often-- we were excited to see each other and had lots of fun. Our photographer is so amazing that as a surprise for our parents and a thank you for the wedding he did a photo shoot of all four of us together and printed it out to present to them. This is the final product

Saturday morning my mom and sisters threw me another shower. It was so fun to see and catch up with friends, family, old ward members, and leaders. Again, they spoiled me!

Opening presents and being a dork

This is me and my friend Karissa-- I have know her for a long time, but neither one of us can really remember how we met. She bought me this lingerie, and was a little nervous as I began opening my presents and it was all more practical stuff like kitchen towels and bowls and candles. Then I opened my mom's and it was lingerie as well so that made her feel better. 

Later that same day I got to do my bridals with our wedding photographer! Bridal Shower #1

Luke's neighbors and home ward members threw me a kitchen  themed bridal shower on March 7th! It was a cool idea--they had everyone bring a recipe and then as a gift give ingredients or other things to help make it! After this shower our kitchen is pretty well stocked! I told Luke I might not have room for him to move in, and this was only the first shower! I was so excited the ladies of the ward would do this as many of them I had never met, but they spoiled us and were all so kind! It was a great time! Also glad that my cousin Valerie, and my high school friend Theresa could be there to celebrate with me!

Mom also came up this weekend for the shower, and for another fitting of the dress! This was the full effect with the veil, tiara and jewelry, and I found some old fake flowers from Mary Kay around the apartment that I used as my "bouquet"
