Sitting up!

Logan is growing so fast! Today we practiced sitting up on his own! He can stay for a few seconds before he falls, but he does well! so adorable!

Evalyn is here!

Congrats to Lauren and Garn who delivered a healthy baby girl on December 28, 2010. Evalyn Neola weighed in at 5 lbs 1 oz and was 18 inches long. We are so excited for them to start their family and for Logan to have a cousin so close in age!

Christmas Part 2

We drove ALL night Christmas Eve to get to Vegas for Christmas morning. Luke got off work at 11 pm and raced home-we loaded the car and got on the road. After making it through patches of heavy fog we arrived at my parents house at 5am... We crashed on their couches for a few hours until I heard little feet and voices upstairs from the room Asher was staying in. Logan was also waking up so I took him upstairs to say merry christmas and she was so excited- she ran into my parents room yelling "Logan is here!" and the fun began. We woke up Luke and opened our stockings before Lauren and Garn arrived for breakfast and opening gifts. It was a great day and we were really spoiled! Logan was still tired from our journey and ended up falling asleep during the excitement.

One of the best parts of the big day was getting to talk to Leslie! So good to hear her cute voice! She has been out 10 months now! I dont know about for her, but for us it has flown by!

Lauren introduced us to the best invention ever-Bumbo--Logan loved it! Also great since he has a flat spot on his head and we are trying to keep him off it so he doesn't end up in a correction helmet. Bumbo is a win-win! Doesn't he just look like a little man?

Luke passed out exhausted from the drive and exciting day!

Christmas Part 1

We had Christmas with Luke's family this weekend since we will be in Vegas for Christmas. We had lots of fun and got spoiled!

Logan also got a jack-in-the-box from Aunt Sheri and Uncle Peter. He LOVES it when the monkey pops up and jumps every time!

We also had our ward Christmas party this weekend where Logan made his acting debut as baby Jesus in the primary's nativity scene. Didn't even make a sound as the kids passed him around--they race to primary each week and fight over who gets to hold him first! So cute. This was also his first time seeing Santa, and he was as mellow as could be! We can hardly wait to get to Vegas this weekend to see Grandma & Papa Freitag and talk to Aunt Leslie!

New Job!

After being unemployed for awhile, I was finally able to find a job that I will enjoy and that will hopefully last! I am the new event planner for a new company called Shield Safety. The company's main focus is to help communities and families cut back health care costs and trips to the emergency room by simply educating them on how to use the items in their First Aid kits. I will be planning events and trainings where the public can come and learn how to protect themselves. I am very excited for this opportunity and feel like at the end of the day even if only in a small way, I will be helping people improve their lives. My first event will be next Wednesday, December 15th at the Shield Safety office in Bluffdale, Utah. If you are interested in attending or would like to get more information for either personal or company benefit, please copntact me by leaving a comment or sending me an email.

Decorating for Christmas

It was really exciting to decorate for Christmas this year and see Logan's reactions to everything. He may not understand, but he still is fascinated by things like the lights, ornaments, and wrapping paper.

Like mommy, Logan likes the singing cow ornament (love the thumb in the face!)

Logan's First Laugh!

We went to a family Christmas party today and Logan was in a great mood once we got home and got him out of the bath. We were smiling and pulling faces at each other when he started laughing--it was the cutest sound and it made me laugh too! Each time I would laugh he would laugh more--finally I was laughing so hard my face hurt and neither one of us could stop! Tender moments like that make even the worst days better! (I can't figure out how to upload the video)

Thanksgiving with our little turkey

This Thanksgiving we had the cutest turkey ever! Logan was so fun dressed up in his little turkey outfit. He sat with me through dinner with big eyes looking at all the food around us. Next year maybe he will be able to join us in our feast... even if we have to mash it up a bit first! Lucas as in years past had to work so we started dinner early so he could at least some time with the family. After he left Logan and I hung around so he could spend time being passed around between uncles and aunt Stacy, "play" with his cousins and be spoiled by grandma and grandpa. When we got back to our house he even got to "talk" to grandma and papa Freitag. It was a great day, and I am truly thankful for my little turkey.
