The costume turned out to be huge--here with just the hat part he looks like something from where the wild things are :)

Logan's First Halloween
This year we decided to dress as a family in Star Wars costumes! Luke was Darth Vader, I was princess Leah and Logan was chewbacca! I found his costume on Ebay for two dollars and couldn't resist! Here are the pictures from our first Halloween with a baby!

Growing Like a Weed!
Logan is growing and changing every day! He is finally over 10 pounds, but so long! Last week we dressed him in the same outfit he was in when we brought him home and it is now too small! He is becoming more alert every day and starting to smil more all the time. He is holding his head and I even propped him up on the corner of the couch for awhile!

Meeting Great Grandpa
We went to Bountiful last weekend to help celebrate my grandpa's birthday. It was the first time he got to meet Logan, and he was so cute with him! He held him for awhile until Logan got hungry, and then while I was feeding him Logan's feet were hanging out under my nursing cover and grandpa tickled them and rubbed them and kept commenting on his long toes! Logan may never remember meeting him, but in case he is not around when Logan is older, we got pictures to document the moment.
Logan's 2 Month Check Up!
Logan is two months today! Man time flies fast! We were excited to get to the doctor today and find out how much he has grown. He is now 23 inches (2 inches more than at birth) which puts him in the 75th percentile for his age, and 9 pounds 12 ounces (1 pound 9 ounces more than at birth) which puts him in the 20th percentile. The doctor is a bit concerned about his weight not being as high as it should so we get to go back for weight checks again starting next week. I don't understand that-my boy eats all the time! The other part of the appointment was immunizations--never fun to give a baby shots! One of them was some oral drops which he actually seemed to like! The nurse said it is sweet and flavored- Logan was so hungry that I don't think he minded that one. He screamed during the other two shots, but I fed him right after so that calmed him down. He is sleeping now, but we will see how he does the rest of the day.

Blessing Day
Yesterday we blessed Logan on 10/10/10. It was such a special day for our little family. Luke was so excited, but a little nervous as well. The blessing was short and sweet, but very heartfelt. Logan looked adorable in his little blessing outfit my mom had made for him. She made it out of left over fabric from my wedding dress. Lauren tended him for us the day before and while we were gone she made Luke a tie with Logan's footprints on it to wear for the blessing. We were glad to have both grandpas, all uncles on both sides and some friends stand in the circle. It was a very special day and we were thankful for friends and family there to celebrate with us in the first of many blessings Logan will receive in his life.

Baby Bath Time
When Logan's Umbilical cord fell off we were so excited to give him his first bath in his baby bath tub. Everyone had told us how much babies love being in the bath and we couldn't wait to see how he did... Unfortunately he hated it and screamed the whole time! Things continued this way for two weeks until mom was in town again and I asked if we were doing something wrong. She suggested putting more water in and making sure it is warm. I also discovered if I fed him first he was happier putting him in and after that he loved it! Now bathtime is fun to watch him kick his legs and calm down if he is fussy. Now he cries when it is time to get OUT of the bath!
6 week check up
Today we saw my OB for my 6 week check up. Dr. Later apologized for not being there when Logan was born--we are his only patients that he missed that whole month! His wife owns a store for high end jeans and clothes and was at market that whole week and he had gone to join her for the weekend. He was disappointed and even asked for a picture of Logan to go in his scrapbook even though he didn't get to deliver him!
The good news is not only am I healed up and doing well, but I have lost all but 2 pounds of my baby weight! I was so excited seeing that! I wish we had a reliable scale at home so I can continue to track my progress--I had weight to lose before I got pregnant, and with the baby weight going so fast I am excited to keep going to my goal weight.

Big Moments
Logan is six weeks old already! Time has flown and he is changing every day. I LOVE being home with him and watching him learn new things and grow. Some "big" moments thus far in his little life:
Day 15: Logan's umbilical cord fell off, and we gave him his first real bath (which he HATED!)
Day 18: Logan rolled from his tummy to his back! We have a strong boy!
1 Month: Logan threw his first temper tantrum! Grandma and Grandpa Freitag were here to witness it! We had him laying on the floor trying to prove to grandma he can roll, and he was starting to fuss and all of a sudden starting kicking his legs like a kid not getting candy he wants! It was so funny!
5 weeks: Logan is starting to smile more--he is ticklish right under his ribs!
6 weeks: Logan has slept through the last three nights. I am hoping this is a habit now and not just a teaser. We put him in bed at midnight and this morning I had to wake him up at 745 to feed him!
I haven't left him yet other than for an hour to go to a ward council meeting when I left him with Luke. This weekend we will be attending a sealing and it will be my first time really leaving him. Aunt Lauren will be in town for his blessing and has offered to watch him. I know she will do wonderful as she is great with kids, but I have already warned her I will be a bit paranoid as it is my first time away. so week 7 will be the first time being away from mom!
Grandparents Day
Logan has wonderful grandparents on both sides and both sets have given him lots of attention and love--basically spoiled him already! Here are some grandparent moments in honor of grandparents day ( a little late, but I just found out it's a real "holiday" ha ha...)
