Logan's First Road Trip

This weekend was Logan's first road trip! We went to Vegas to stay with my parents so it was also his first visit to grandma and Papa's house! We discovered we have a great little traveler on our hands! On the way down he slept pretty much the whole way. We stopped once to feed him and as soon as we were back on the road he was out again. He was happy all weekend and did great! Grandma and Papa loved having him there and even fought for his attention! Papa took him on a tour of their house and got him smiling and talking up a storm, and grandma had bought a little frog for him to play with.

My mom turned 50 the day befpre we arrived and we planned a surprise party for her. We got there on Friday and she told us of coupons she had for the Disney store and since it was my job to get her out of the house before the party I jumped on the opportunity and said Let's go after dinner--we have been in the car all day and it would be great to get a walk in! She totally bopught it without suspecting a thing. When we got home she let me and Luke take Logan in through teh garage while she pulled the car in. She walked in to all her friends and lots of over the hill decorations and after we yelled surprise and the stunned look came off her face she turned around as if embarrassed and called us jerks! ha ha we got her good!

Saturday was a baby shower for Lauren. She is not due until January, but with the holidays it was easier to do the shower early. There was a great turnout for that as well and she and Garn got some good loot! Lauren is still pretty small for how far along she is, but she definitly has the new mom glow and we are so excited for her. And for Logan to have a cousin close to his own age!

We traveled home early Monday morning arriving home just in time for Luke to leave for work. Logan did great again sleeping most of the way home. He was so glad to be out of his car seat after a long trip, but we were proud of him for handling it like a champ!
